GM S10 BLAZER, 1998-2005, Ø355mm Hybrid

The KORE3 Ø355mm Hybrid Front Big-Brake Kit for the 1998-2005 GM S10 Blazer applications adapts a combination of the larger C6 Z06 rotors and the more cost effective 2-piston C5/C6 Corvette calipers to your OE or Belltech #2102 drop spindles. Please refer to the KORE3 GM Big-Brake Application Chart for details regarding specific vehicle compatibility.


C5/C6 Corvette brake components are a significant improvement over the original equipment Ø10.76" x 1.14" rotors and 2-piston calipers. The C6 Z06 rotors measure Ø355mm x 32mm thick (Ø14.0" x 1.26") and provide higher brake torques and additional thermal mass for more aggressive, sustained driving. Additionally, the directional or pillar vane design of the C6 Z06 rotors increases the overall cooling efficiency and rigidity of the rotors versus the OE straight vane rotors, resulting in maximum braking performance and minimum brake fade.


C5/C6 front calipers are pressure-cast aluminum with full width stiffening ribs in order to maximize caliper rigidity, extend service life, and improve pedal firmness and feel, all in a compact, lightweight package. The C6 calipers are interchangeable with the C5 calipers and are approximately 25% more rigid due to additional material across the bridge of the calipers. Both C5 and C6 calipers have twin-Ø40.5mm pistons and utilize a pad abutment design, where the braking torque is transmitted directly from the pads into the pad abutment brackets and the spindles they mount to, leading to better performance you can feel at the pedal.


There is excellent aftermarket support for C6 Z06 rotors and C5/C6 brake pads to suit nearly anybody's needs and/or budget. This Ø355mm KORE3 Hybrid big-brake kit is an easy upgrade from the base level Ø325mm kits and adds even more thermal capacity for those who push their cars to the limits and beyond. Whether you're looking for added resistance to fade or trying to fill some big wheels on a budget, the Hybrid kit may be for what you're looking for, whether you're grocery-getting, pro-touring, or a little bit of both.

  1. This KORE3 big-brake kit is designed for the applications noted below with factory 2-piston calipers and unit-bearing hub assemblies.

  2. Kit installation may require minor spindle modifications with basic metal fabrication tools. All necessary modifications are detailed in the instructions.


  3. Minimum Ø17" wheels are required with C5/C6 Ø325mm rotor kits for caliper to wheel clearance. Minimum Ø18" wheels are required with the Ø340mm and Ø355mm kits. Please verify fitment prior to ordering using the appropriate KORE3 fitment template. Wheel fitment is the buyer's responsibility.   4. ABS is unaffected by the addition of this KORE3 big-brake kit.
